How late will a wedding DJ play?
A question that we regularly get asked, being wedding DJ’s is how long late will you play for on the night.
The simple answer to this, is that we can play as late as you like.
However, before you decide to book us until 3am in the morning, here are a few things you may need to consider.

How late will your venue allow?
Many venues have a cutoff point at 12pm. The reason for this is that most of the venues are hotels and to allow guests to sleep, the party must finish at 12. In fact, a lot of venues are very strict about this and do not allow music to play for a minute longer than 12. I have been at venues before where they have turned the power off to stop any additional songs being played!
Your wedding day will be a long day.
I have never met a bride and groom who didn’t say they found their wedding day to be a long tiring day. It is going to be so full of emotion, effort, energy, and nerves. The list goes on, and the fact of the matter is that you will be exhausted by 12pm. This is why we usually finish at this time.
If you book us to stay all night, you might find that you just desperately want to go to bed at 12 but feel you have to stay up to get your monies worth.

Can you play later on the night if we ask you to?
We can be asked to play later on the night; the only issue is that we will have a pre determined playlist that we will create before the event. If we think we are finishing at 12 and you want us to stay on, we may not have any tracks lined up. Being professional wedding DJ’s, this is not a problem at all, and we will be able to handle any situation. However something you should know is we do prefer to know beforehand if we are going to be asked to play later.
When will you need payment if we ask you to stay later on the wedding night?
Regarding being asked to stay later on the wedding night itself, we only do this if cash is given up front. We have performed at some weddings where we were promised to get paid after the gig and then after the wedding day, the clients refused to pay. Because of this, we now have a strict policy that says that if you want us to play longer, we must be given the cash upfront which would mean paying us before the time we are set to finish.
I hope this helps answer your question and helps you to think about whether or not you want us to play for longer on your wedding day.
If you have any other question or would like us to play for your wedding day, do not hesitate to get in touch.
