Need a DJ for The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama

About the venue

The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama is becoming an increasing popular venue for weddings and civil ceremonies. Just on the outskirts of Cardiff City Centre on North Road stand this very modern looking building. The venue is incredibly spacious and light, which is perfect if you are having a large service with lots of guests. The building has recently been given an update with new white walls and wooden beams that can make for some lovely Wedding photos. Beyond this building is the beautiful Bute Park which can also be a great place to go and have some Wedding snaps.

The building is also known for having really nice catering, here are a couple of reviews on the trip advisor website and a couple more on the catering page of their website.

The venue is quite iconic for having one very large glass wall that looks out onto Bute park. By night it also works quite well as a reflective surface; perfect for disco lights. The floor is also marble which also means you will not have to hire a separate disco floor. Again its shiny surface is great for disco lighting.

There is also a raised walkway that is great for getting some good snaps of the room from above as seen in this image below.

Need a professional DJ to play at the end of your Day?

If you want to have an incredible party to end your incredible day, why not have a professional DJ play to get everyone up on their feet?

I have included some images from when I played at this venue last. You can see from the images how well the lights work on this space.

There is a large area to get people up and dancing, however, this can sometimes make people more nervous about getting up to dance. In my experience, people like to dance in smaller, darker rooms when they don’t feel like the lime light is on them. This is an important point to take into consideration when picking your venue. However, after a long day of drinking, you don’t usually have to many problems getting people up.

The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama is a great location to have your wedding breakfast and evening party especially if you have the guests to fill the space. If you would like more information why not have a look at this online brochure here.

Below is a short clip of people dancing to the last song of the evening. This is from an extra package I offer with my DJ service where I can capture up to 2 hours of dance floor action for you to take away with you as a souvenir. Have a look at more info on my packages page.
